help the enviroment with citizens

We helped the Environment with "Citizens for a Healthy Bay" what we did today was pick up plants that are not native and it was so hot we picked up black berry and other ones, we walked around and we pulled them because they would take over the other plants habitat.

Dinosaur at The Pacific Science Center

We saw and felt fossils of their bones at the Pacific Science Center. We saw what the babies looked like, and we even felt fossils of Dino "poop"! The Dinosaurs moved like robots and looked like they were eating. The models of the Dinosaurs were small but in real life they were a lot bigger.

Pacific Science Center

I chose this photo because we went on a field trip to see the Pacific Science Center and we had fun seeing animals and a "3-D" movie. We also rode on a bicycle that was scarey because it was up high and you could have fell off if you weighed less than 100lbs. We went to a butterfly room and saw a whole bunch on pretty different kinds of colors of butterflys (and we even saw one that was accidently stepped on :( and there was also a black widow spinder and a worm with a bunch of legs from Africa.

It was a lot of fun and you should visit too!

Thanks for visiting our blog,

Nursing Home

Today we went to the nursing home and we met a lady who was really nice. We helped her with some games and read a book to her. We think she really liked it because she was really happy and smiling the whole time. She was telling us how to make our life really good by getting a good job and graduating from college. I really liked being with her. It was really fun. - Eli

Visit to Tacoma Lutheran Home

What we did was go help out at the Tacoma Lutheran house. We read, played math games and other games. We also talked about are selves and we gave her thank you cards and we also saw a dog and a cat. We told her if she had a cat or a dog. She said no because they don't have any kids. Another thing is that she said that she had a good time with us. About the book, it was called Math Curse. We had so much fun playing. There was another guy that talked to us and asked us if we had electric stuff. We said yes, we do. He said in the old days, he had to ride a horse. They did not have any cars. She has a husband, but he went to to work. So we had fun anyway. Also, her birthday is in April, we had so much fun playing with her.

Diane France

S.T.E.M stands for "Science", "Technology", "Engineering", "Mathematics". These are important because they help with a good education and help girls like us get good careers. When we grow up we want to be a veterinarian, a nurse, and designer or a doctor.

We found an interesting woman scientist:

Diane France is a bone detective. She helps solve mysteries and crimes by examining the size and shapes of human bones. Diane uses mathematics in her job my counting, measuring and observing bones. Her job is interesting because she can tell if the bone is from a "woman" or a "man", if the person is "tall" or "short" and other cool observations. She wanted to help solve mysteries and crimes so, Diane became a bone detective. Her job helps the government and others to solve crimes and historical mysteries.
